College Guidance

All students graduating from Academics West receive comprehensive college guidance. The college guidance we provide goes beyond the usual college selection and application support. A college transition class is integrated into each senior’s program before they graduate to best prepare them for their transition to college life. Academics West is proud of the fact that 100% of our seniors who have pursued post-secondary education have been accepted into a four-year college or university. As a college preparatory school, this record reflects the realization that no matter how complex a student’s situation is, with the correct support and remediation, college is always a true possibility. Our college guidance counselor specializes in placing students who may need a school with specialized resources to meet their continued academic and/or emotional needs. Moreover, a college transition class is integrated into each senior’s program before they graduate to best prepare them for their transition to college life.
