This week, our middle schoolers soaked up the sunshine during a spirited Field Day in Central Park! The event featured four main games: tug of war, bean bag toss, hula hoop toss, and a fast-paced favorite called Mission Impossible. These activities encouraged teamwork, friendly competition, and plenty of laughter, allowing students to enjoy time outside while building school spirit.
Beyond the action-packed competition, we set up a cozy picnic blanket stocked with drawing supplies and a face painting kit, offering a creative outlet and a chance to relax. The face painting station was especially popular, allowing students to express themselves by painting fun designs on their own or their friends’ faces. Field Day concluded with a sweet treat—Otter Pops were enjoyed in abundance, adding a refreshing finish to the fun-filled afternoon.
The energy was infectious as everyone cheered one another on, laughed through every challenge, and embraced the joy of being together outdoors. Whether pulling with all their might, aiming for the perfect toss, or unwinding with a popsicle in hand, each student found a way to shine and create meaningful memories under the sun.
Events like Field Day are a vital part of our school’s commitment to fostering not only academic excellence but also social and emotional growth through experiential learning. Encouraging students to connect and engage in activities beyond the classroom helps build confidence and community.
